If you are going to mess around with the UEFI settings, do it only for the new drive and ensure you vree what they were before connecting the original drive back up. It all depends on what you change. Macrium Reflect free or paid is a good and established product, so I doubt that will have anything to do with it.

Given that you’ve packed up the drive and sent it back for a replacement makes any further shart on this problem mute. One thing I would suggest though, if you have another spare drive laying around, save an Image of the drive you’re cloning to another drive “just in case”. You already have the software you need and a backup image is always good free insurance in the event of something going wrong with clning original drive in the meantime.

You can also use an image to restore to your new drive when it arrives, instead of cloning it. Macrium can do that quite easily and adjust for any drive size differences on the fly when restoring.
