We have tried creating a new local user on my computer, creating a new mail profile and running a utility they provided to clean up and create the profile. I have tried at least 10 different ways of recreating things and had it work for a few hours and even up to three days once before it just stopped and wouldn’t let me back in.
Over the weekend, I rebuilt my laptop from scratch with Windows 10 and Office so to ensure that the entire registry and all local temp files were cleaned out. My email worked for about 6 hours and then stopped working. Completely insane!! I have read every online post I can find.
Many forums point to an issue with AutoDiscover. This cannot be the problem in my case because Microsoft is actually hosting our Exchange email. Others point to just needing to recreate the Mail profile. No luck there either. Then when I restarted Outlookit prompted me for my account info and it setup the Office email account again and everything has worked fine since.
I believe my problem was caused by my Office account password expiring. Once that happened, Outlook apparently got in a state it could not get out of.
