I have an office home and student , 3 license edition, disk that I have installed only once. I recently bought a new computer that doesn’t have a disk drive, and I need to download and install the product with the license key.

When I go to that address there is nothing about installing. This should be a trivial matter but based on the hundreds of queries with same question that I see it is not a trivial matter. If you are going to sell these product key cards there ought to be an easy install available at this site. This thread is locked. The last time it asked me for a product key and Office was successfully installed. Never logged into site before today. Don’t know what I did wrong but problem solved. Excel was little quirky in that it crashed a lot until I made a couple tweaks I read about in the Office Community pages. Converting my old jspreadsheets to the format was easy but I strongly recommend saving any Excel sheets in the format xlsm macro enabled because until I did that all my docs would freeze up and Excel just crashed every time I opened a doc.

I gave Word a quick test drive and it seems fine. I really really like the easy of inserting tables. I’ve yet to try Word out on any of my larger docs page novel, for example but I don’t foresee any troubles. Overall, I like it but I still am upgrading. I recently purchased a new computer and needed to get at bare minimum, excel, and word since I use those a lot in my personal computing. Well, more excel than word.

I Use word for printing mailing labels more than anything. Still needed excel and the version on the old computer was pre ! I do have a small netbook that I take with me at times when visiting friends and while the pre version works, thought that at some point I may want to upgrade that. I’m used to the older look of Microsoft Office with prefer to have upgraded features like the use of macros, etc. I opted for this version because of the spreadsheets that I use which run a lot of macros. My old Excel wasn’t cutting it, but I don’t like the layout of Office Purchasing this version was a happy medium and I chose to buy it on Amazon even though its much cheaper on eBay because I knew that as a Prime member, there are certain guarantees that I can rely on AND I was able to have this delivered in less than 24 hours thanks to next day delivery on a Sunday.
