It is perhaps the simplest game I have ever seen, with almost no content whatsoever.

As mentioned in another review, the only options on this game are to go to one of four areas. The activities can be completely described here: 1. Decorate a horse – you see a view of the outside of a stables with six horses standing there.

You select one horse and watch it walk into the stable. Then you are presented with a side view of the horse in the stable and you select different regions of the horse; for each region, you are given a selection of one of 8 different decorations for that region of the horse such as 8 different colored saddles. You select it and it appears on the horse.

There are 6 regions to decorate on the horse. That’s it. It takes all of a few minutes to completel exhaust any replayability of this screen. And this is the most complex part of the whole game! Decorate the stables – you are presented with a view of the stables and can select one of four regions to change banner, sash, flowers, and music.

Each one has 8 choices. That’s it, you can’t do anything else except select a couple of things. Ride the track – you see a first-person view of riding the horse around a track. The horse’s head is right in front of you and blocks most of the screen. When you approach one of the four jumps on the track, a bird chirps and you are supposed to press the down arrow to jump. But this part didn’t work on my computer. No matter when I pressed down, or whether I held down pressed down for the whole time or just pressed and released it – the horse would never jump.

There appear to be three tracks to choose from, but I think you have to complete one track to be able to select the next, and since the horse would never jump, I could never get past the first track.

Trophy room – there are some books and posters that presumably would hold records of your achievements; but because of the problems I had with step 3, nothing ever appeared here. This is the singular worst game I have ever seen. Of course I did not play this myself, I played it with my four year old daughter. It’s only her intense love of Disney Princesses that gave this game any appeal at all. And that is probably the one singular good part of this game – there are Disney princesses that are very well animated and voice-acted at every screen of the game giving introductory instructions and saying nice and encouraging things.

Those are actually well done; but the rest of the game, is complete and utter garbage. I am going to try to get my money back for this if at all possible and would recommend that you steer clear of this game.

One person found this helpful. I just turned 15 years old, and have very fond memories of owning this game as a three, four, and five year old. I’ve recently read through some comments and reviews of this game and would like to put in my two cents. I had always had a huge love and appreciation for horses, so I couldn’t have been happier when presented with this game.

I loved being able to gain new horses, and would take great care in deciding on a name for each one. I would decorate them with my favorite colors and patterns, and sometimes even make them coordinate with the arena banners where they were showing. I had fun learning about horse breeds with Belle, and later purchased books on the subject of horse breeds to continue my learning. Today, I have the incredible opportunity to show actual horses.

In past and recent shows, I’ve placed highly in my divisions and have enjoyed every minute of it. This game, as well as early exposure to horse related movies and books, instilled a real passion in me that continues to this day. I am also an avid reader, and recall most of my early books being horse themed, whether fictionally, or non-fictionally. So to say this game had no real educational value to my early childhood would be a false statement.

I still enjoy this game, and love to think about where I was then in comparison to where I am now: still loving horses, but having made my starry-eyed dreams, into a bright and beautiful reality. Just what she was looking for- a little girl who loves horses and Disney princesses. The view of the riding horse is as if you were riding and it is fun for her to dress them up at the stable.

Definitely worth the six bucks we paid on amazon. Of course, Disney puts horses and princesses into one game in hopes of selling a successful game, but this one is terrible.
