Kenai’s adventures begin shortly after his brother is killed in a battle with a bear who recently gave birth to a little bear cub. You can chase rabbits and butterflies for fun, fish for salmon in the river, and avoid grumpy chipmunks when collecting berries. The game did freeze up on my machine in a couple of spots both in the Valley of Fire , but those were the only glitches I encountered. I got a copy of this game from the library as soon as it came out. I loved the movie and was excited to play the video game version of it.
This adaptation did not disappoint me at all! You begin the game with a narration by Rutt and Tuke the two moose as they explain the backstory of the plot. After the cutscene, you immediately jump in to help Kenai navigate melting glaciers. After meeting Koda, you enter level one, a beautiful Aspen Forest typical of southern Alaska or lower Canada. Level two features the hot, steamy, lava-filled valley. Level three features a dynamic climate with a river or rapids splitting the landscape.
These three levels are separated by two mini-games, which I have played countless times with my family in tournaments. If you are a fan of Brother Bear, or simply want a fairly easy game to play more than once, this is a good pick for you. I have not tried it on Windows 7 but I assume it works. See all reviews.
