Arcade mode lets you challenge a preset list of fighters as you uncover the backstory behind each fighter in the roster. Local and online multiplayer let you test your fighting abilities against other human opponents, and is a staple of the Street Fighter community.
These extra modes help keep the action fresh, as the straightforward fighting can grow repetitive after some time. Both brothers have distinct fighting styles that are flashy and technical, with lots of room for improvisational combos. There are also two characters that were previously included as hidden bosses, but are now fully playable from the start. What should be the final version of Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition adds just four new characters, giving you 39 in total, and a range of move changes designed to improve the gameplay balance.
Theoretically, there should be less chances of a one character having an unfair advantage over others in Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, but players won’t be able to tell until many rounds of fighting have been concluded! The original IV was excellent, and while the tweaks and additions to Super Street Fighter IV aren’t huge, it will no doubt be the definitive version of the game.
If you’re a massive Street Fighter fan, this will be essential. If you’re new to it, this will be the version to buy.
