Switch to “Recovery” tab, and change all 3 drop-down boxes to “Restart the Service”. Make sure the 2 Reset boxes underneath say “1” in them. Click Ok. Perform System File Check to fix the corrupted system files and then check how it works. Some files saved on your computer might get deleted when fixing corrupted files. I am trying to install a new printer and everything we tried, the scanner software would not install. The technician walked me through to check the Windows Image Acquisition properties. The service status on my computer is currently set to “stopped”.
