Ask a new question. I’ve search for how to do it on line but all the suggestions lead to a dead end. In updates, I am totally updated with no updates available, not even optional ones. The computer is set to automatically update. I have all the prior required updates in history that has been suggested, but I never get to a place where I can update the newer version. It’s very important to me as a software package that I really need runs on the 21H2 version but not on the 20H2 version.

Ask a new question. I’m having software problems and the vendor wants me to update to 21H2. Windows Update does not offer me that update. So I went to the update catalog to do a manual installation, but it’s not clear to me which file to download.

If yes, then where can I find it? I have a Dell computer with a USB installation disk. Should I use that? But, if I want to do a in-place update then I should use the MS media. Since I have a project due at the beginning of the month I’m going to wait until after I finish the project before I try the upgrade.

It might be a couple of weeks before you hear from me again but you will. FYI, I was able to install 21H2. The mouse didn’t work at all and the keyboard works until I wake it from sleep.

If the issue still persists, Please try performing an In-place Upgrade. It will definitely help in resolving update errors. Performing this can repair broken operating system files while your personal files, settings and installed applications will not be removed. Open the tool and select Upgrade this PC now. Have you tried performing an In-place upgrade? It usually fixes this type of issue. Since you have a USB installation disk, that would be the last option to do a Clean Installation of Windows 10 but the problem is, I’m assuming it’s not the latest version of Windows 10 21H2.
