To see all participants, you need to use the Zoom gallery view. It allows you to see up to 49 participants at the same time and to scroll to all other Zoom participants by arrow or swipe. Depending on the Zoom version, up to 1, participants can attend a meeting! Long video conferences with lots of people can be exhausting.

There is even a term for this kind of exhaustion: Zoom fatigue. The prerequisite for the gallery view on Zoom is that no-one can be sharing their screen on Zoom. To solve this issue, the host can mute all participants on entry. This means everyone will have their mic turned off by default when they join a meeting. You can do this by clicking the Participants button in the taskbar, selecting the 3-dot More option, and then clicking on Mute Participants upon Entry.

Throughout the meeting, it can be used if people unmute themselves and background noise creeps in. It also helps to avoid any circling sound or outside noises. One common issue, however, which first-time zoom users, in particular, run into is disabling audio and muting their microphone.

Zoom audio system lets you hear audio and sounds coming from other participants if you have your audio connected. And to be heard, you must stay unmute. If you only want to record the video of the person talking, make sure the host’s view is set to only show the speaker by choosing “Speaker View” at the top. Gallery View shows every attendee in their own box (like the Brady Bunch). Everyone will need to be in Gallery View to see only the speakers in.
